Introduction to Vision Shack - 1st Thursday every month on RadioReverb 97.2 FM

Vision Shack is dedicated to people of vision who occupy the 21st Century and form a largely unseen network of enlightenment and understanding, who think globally and act locally, pointing the way to a just and sustainable future by their vision in action.

It is a monthly program on RadioReverb, the City of Brighton and Hove's own NON-COMMERCIAL licensed Community Broadcasting Station on 97.2 FM locally and http://www.radioreverb.com/ for Global listening on-line.

Please join me, join in, blog, upload and generally get involved - click on "Sign Up" just to your right - it's easy - this is a community radio program so have your say and by all means email studio@radioreverb.com while we are on air (put Vision Shack in subject heading).

RadioReverb is a unique radio station which is supported only by sponsors, donations and fund-raising. It has now proved itself by 3 years on-line and just over a year on FM and was the first such independent station in the UK licensed as Community Broadcasting by Ofcom. We are proud of this Community Service and are currently engaged in a drive to raise funds and sponsorship in order to continue to serve the local community and to continue to provide high quality and innovative non-commercial programming difficult to find elsewhere.

On our website you can find schedules and program details, information about how to support the station or make radio yourself. Vision Shack is broadcast live from the centre of Brighton at 12.00 noon British time the FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH.

Uploaded in the player to your left are extracts and entire programs in 2 parts. I have also uploaded an 8 minute promotional "show-reel" summarising the journey in the first 5 programs. The rest of the programmes are in reverse order, so Program 1 is at the bottom and so on. Click on the requisite track in the player to the left to hear it.

Below this is a list of programs and in the section below that marked Forum are matters relating to each program. Click on the name to read about a program and for links to related resources. There are also some pre-show notes and blogs on related matters.

I invite you all to join this group, it's just like joining a yahoo or google group, but is easier to use, better looking and you can upload loads of sound and video. it's really easy to join and you can manage notifications so that you either get an email when someone adds to the thread you begin or reply to or you can switch them off and receive no emails at all.
RadioReverb is YOUR community station and we welcome your input always.

Vision Shack 10 Uploaded "What Is Human Work?"
Second of 2 Overview Programs

BrightonPhlux Thursday 7th August 2008
As well as Vision Shack, for the present I am co-presenting & producing BrightonPhlux with Susi Oddball as Sean Creed has left the show, and I may be uploading some more of those, although at 4 programs a week I will limit it to the 1st (as above) and highlights of others or those which shine out.
Also still to be uploaded BrightonPhlux Tuesday 24th, Wednesday 25th Thursday 26th & Friday 27th & Monday 30th June which I hosted, some in full others in extract will be uploaded, and as they are generally lighter in content I may interleave them with programs already uploaded to provide some light relief, and show a different side of Community Radio.

For information, links to resources and to join in discussions about each program see the 'Forum' listing below. These are in the same order of last to 1st program as the recordings - click on a particular heading to go to that subject.

There are also a couple of other forum items about Vision Shack, the book, the process and so on.

To see other Forum items or research on programs, forum items begun by listeners or contributors etc. please click on the Forum tab at the top of the page. If you have a specific interest and wish to start a discussion, leave links in the comment boxes under each subject, or contribute in any way please do.

I hope to edit and part-write a book from probably the 1st 12 programs and invite contributors to add to this process (see last item in list below The Beginnings of the Vision Shack Book).

The next Vision Shack is on Thursday 3rd July 2008 and will be a Report on the State of The Planet & The World - a kind of summary and update upon the previous 8 programs with some guests from those programs and some new guests. Because the subject is huge, this may extend to the following month's show on Thursday 7th August.
